Main Street Mile Draws Big Names

Middle-distance star Rebecca Donaghue and Sandburg High School running and triathlon sensation Lukas Verzbicas will run in the elite ranks on Monday at the first annual Foot Mechanics Memorial Day Main Street Mile in St. Charles. Race time is 8 a.m. on what will be a downhill course, and therefore a very fast one. Spokesperson for the event is Tera Moody, a two-time state champion in the 1,600 meters for St. Charles East High School and a fifth-place finisher at the 2008 women's U.S. Olympic marathon trials in Boston.
