Well, How Did You Do?
Did you make your move and save $25 on your entry to the Rock & Roll Chicago Half Marathon on Aug. 1? Heading into yesterday, they were at just over 11,000 runners with a cap of 25,000. Last year, the race drew about 14,000 hearty half-marathoners. I can remember not too long ago when the run still was called the Chicago Distance Classic and a turnout of 6,000-7,000 was the norm. It's amazing how half-marathons are taking off. So what are you going to do with that $25? Here's a self-promoted idea. Enter the Community Bank of Elmhurst 4 on the 3rd (www.4on4th.com). Either way, enjoy this weather, get in some good runs and enjoy the holiday weekend!
