Verzbicas Makes Running Times Cover!

Lukas Verzbicas, the national class prep runner and world-class junior triathlete who goes to Carl Sandburg High School in Orland Park and competes for the Multisport Madness club in the west suburbs, has made the latest cover of Running Times magazine. If this superb athlete can avoid injuries, he is one of the few teenagers in this country who could make a difference someday on the Olympic podiums in running, or more likely, triathloning. As I've written before, the first time I saw Lukas, he was trying to take the lead in the 2008 4 on the 4th race in Elmhurst and I didn't know who he was. I sure do now! I haven't read the Running Times story yet, but will as soon as my copy arrives in the mail. Go, Lukas, go!
