Next Up: Chicago Half Marathon

The weather looks good for the 16th annual Chicago Half Marathon along the south lakefront on Sunday. This has been one of my favorites over the years, but it's never easy to actually get there! I am on the fence as I write this. As much as I want to run, I do not want to make two trips to the city in two or three days. Time will tell. Ideally, I need to run it to stay in the CARA standings age-group points mix. Realistically, I just don't know. Some top-tier racers will be competing alongside thousands of everyday runners. Good luck if you're competing. I might, or might not, see you there!

Good luck (if you run). I just realized, this will be my first CARA race of the season. The Chicago Marathon will be my second, but there is little chance of being in the top 15 in that one!

It's an awesome circuit, but it takes planning and careful training to get through it. Good luck!
